Enter our world and travel through history in "A Celebration of Light."  Meet Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and the father of the atomic age, Enrico Fermi.  Climb aboard a bicycle generator and test your pedal power.  Discover how much energy it takes to power a curling iron, portable TV, and other electrical appliances.  Learn how a nuclear power plant works.  Open your mind to our dynamic series of "live Learning Lectures," presented in our spacious 200-seat auditorium.  Take a look into the future with "Exploring Energy's Future Frontiers."

The Power Place
Energy Information Center - is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.  Evening and Saturday group visits may be arranged in advance by calling (352) 563-4490. 
The Power Place is located at Florida Power's Crystal River energy complex in Citrus County, just south of the Cross Florida Barge Canal near the Gulf of Mexico.  From U.S. Highway 19, turn west on West Power Line Street, then travel 3.8 miles to the Site Administration Building.  Signs will direct you from there.
