Service Needs
Representatives of community organizations with service
needs that could be fulfilled by students will be present as information
resources for student project teams. Teams will interview community
leaders, determine need, develop solution project, and present to the entire
group.
1:00 – 5:00 Session VI – Breakout Sessions
Various subjects will be covered, such as public speaking,
how to run a meeting, parliamentary procedures, conflict resolution, and
problem solving techniques.

Students participate in an exercise that deals with differing
thinking styles. |
Students develop service-learning projects that could be implemented
at their school. The projects that were developed at the conference
this year included environmental conservation, reducing bullying at school,
and assisting the homeless. |
