Grant Evaluation
The Project Green Machine grant program is now a part of the Public Education Foundation's Grants for Great Ideas.  You can use this grant application form to submit your Project Green Machine project.  All other processing requirements and deadlines remain the same as the other non-category Grants for Great Ideas.  Grant applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a committee comprised of business and community leaders.  To ensure impartiality, the committee will not see the names of the teachers or schools involved.  This page will be detached after the application has been logged in.  Keep in mind that the persons evaluating the grant applications may not be familiar with educational jargon or terminology.  If used, please provide a brief explanation to help grant readers understand the purpose of the program or target population.  Send completed applications to the Public Education Foundation of Marion County, PO Box 670, Ocala, FL 34478.  They can be contacted at 620-7651.

Service-Learning Grant Guidelines

The purpose of this grant is to provide resources to teachers who would like to conduct Project Green Machine activities in their classes - service-learning techniques that support curriculum objectives relating to energy and water conservation and recycling.  The Public Education Foundation of Marion County administers the grant.  Applications can be submitted to them during the Grants for Great Ideas submission schedule. 

Project requirements include:
· Resource conservation theme should be expressed in the planned activities.
· Incorporate service-learning as a teaching technique.
· Project must relate to the accomplishment of a curriculum objective.
· Teacher must use the application form.
· Teacher must attend a half-day in-service training session.
· Teacher must complete a final report at the conclusion of the project.
